A Marine from 3rd Platoon, Alpha Company, Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, helps provide security as Marines assault a mock enemy-held objective while executing a mechanized raid on San Clemente Island, Nov. 17. The raid was one of the final parts of Composite Training Unit Exercise, the second at-sea exercise designed to prepare the 13th MEU for deployment next year.
