Sgt. David L. Douglas, motor transport mechanic with 1st Maintenance Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, becomes a world champion by taking first place in a bench press competition at the World Power-lifting Federation’s World Power-lifting Championship in Bath, England, Nov. 7. Douglas, 23, from Oceanside, Calif., started weight lifting four and a half years ago at his first duty station in Okinawa, Japan.
