Master Chief Petty Officer Denise Becker, hospital corpsman, Maritime Civil Affairs and Security Training Command, and Sister Rosa, headmistress of the Sister Clara Orphanage in Dili, Timor Leste, purchase food at a local market for the orphanage during a recent Pacific Partnership 2010 community service project. The annual Navy operation is conducted by U.S. Pacific Fleet and provides humanitarian and civic assistance to strengthen alliances, improve U.S. and partner capacity to deliver civil assistance and improve security cooperation among partner nations. MCAST Command provides maritime civil affairs support to operational commanders in support of U.S. maritime strategy.
