Thirteen National Guard Rangers from Alaska, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi and New Mexico start the five mile run portion of the Ranger physical fitness test during a National Guard Best Ranger assessment at Fort Benning, Ga., Nov. 17, 2010. The National Guard Warrior Training Center oversaw the competition and selected seven Rangers to compete in the U.S. Army Best Ranger Competition scheduled to be held in April. Three of four Indiana National Guard Rangers who competed will return for the competition.
