Senior Airman Travis Meehan, a firefighter from the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, dons a protective chemical suit before participating in a training scenario at an undisclosed air base here Nov. 12. The class-A suit provides the highest level of protection against environmental pathogens and contaminants. The exercise was part of a Department of Defense certification program to train firefighters as hazardous-material response technicians. Airman Meehan is deployed from the 106th Rescue Wing, New York Air National Guard.
