CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait – - Petty Officer 3rd Class James Born (left) poses with a sign he made for Carrie Underwood's concert on camp. The country music star and American Idol winner performed in front of more than 2,000 enthusiastic servicemembers on camp Wednesday. Born said he wanted to make the sign "big enough so she could see it." Underwood performed many of her popular tracks off her multi-platinum album Some Hearts. The troops gave a roaring approval to Underwood's rendition of Guns 'N Roses Sweet Child 'O Mine as well as her song about home; Don't Forget to Remember Me. The hour-long performance was followed by a meet-and-greet session with more than 500 people waiting patiently in line to get the opportunity to meet the Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year. Underwood is touring throughout the Middle East with the USO.
