Newly-appointed U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron P. Munter thanks Marines, Oct. 30, at Pano Aqil Cantonment, Pakistan, for the contributions they’ve made to flood relief operations. The ambassador visited Pano Aqil Cantonment, Pakistan, to see first-hand the Pakistan and U.S. military flood relief efforts conducted in the Sindh province, Pakistan, as well as to participate in a humanitarian mission bringing relief supplies to flood victims. The 26th and 15th Marine Expeditionary Units have been flying CH-53 Super Stallion and CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters to isolated locations in the Sindh Province, Pakistan, since early September and since then have transported more than 3.7 million pounds of relief supplies to 150 different locations in southern Pakistan.
