M1A1 Ceremony

Iraqi soldiers participate in an M1A1 tank rollout ceremony 14 Oct. at the Iraqi Defense Ministry headquarters, Camp Iraqi Heroes, Baghdad. Many U.S. and Iraqi military leaders attended the event in which the Iraqi Army received 35 of 140 M1A1 tanks that Iraq is purchasing from the U.S. Honored guests for the ceremony included Iraqi’s Defense Minister General Abdel Qader Jassim, Lt. Gen. Michael D. Barbero, United States Forces-Iraq deputy commanding general for advising and training, and U.S. Lt. Gen. Bob Cone, USF-I deputy commanding general of operations.
