Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion 5, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) made pilgrimage to Camp Fallujah's Chapel of Hope Monday, Oct 30th, to watch their fellow service members in a Halloween costume contest. From left to right are ghost-buster Lance Cpl. Joshua D. Nelson, a 21-year-old native of St. Joseph, Mich., and an engineer with Engineer Company, Lil' Miss Fallujah Lance Cpl. Matthew R. Landers, a 22-year-old native of Marion, Mich. and a gunner with Security Company, and treasure troll Cpl. Brian A. Loeffel, a 25-year-old native of Kissimmee, Fl. and a clerk with Maintenance Company. "Marines from one company sitting next to another company, laughing together?it helps morale tremendously? (and) part of the commander's intent was to build unit cohesion," said 2nd Lt. Christ J. Pappas, a 29-year-old native of Ocala, Fl, and Security Company's executive officer. Combat Logistics Battalion 5 is deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq (MNF-W) to develop the Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi Reconstruction.
