Lance Cpl. Cody Campioni, a dog handler with the Dog Handler Platoon, Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, sends his dog in search of an improvised explosive devices near Combat Outpost Shabu, Afghanistan, Sept. 16. “Luckily we haven’t encountered one yet, but if we do I am more than confident she will find it,” said Campioni, a Point Mills, Mich., native.
