Veterans reunion

Ted Salisbury, a World War II and Korean War veteran, stands with a group of Marines from Company C, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit during a Korean War veteran’s reunion held Sept. 16. Salisbury, along with other veterans, has been attending this reunion for 25 years. Salisbury who was in C Co., 1st Bn., 1st Marines during the Korean War received three Purple Hearts during his 12 years in Marine Corps.

  • Retired Marines from the Korean War visited the Command Museum aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego May 13 as part of their reunion of Hotel Company, 3rd battalion, 5th Marine Regiment. Approximately 30 retired Marines and family members were in attendance. While aboard the depot the veterans attended the graduation ceremony of Company C. They have held a reunion every year since 1992 and have visited cities all over the country.
