These Marines have the dirtiest job in the Corps

With their gloves caked in grease and grime, combat cargo Marines work together to secure a container to the deck of USS Carter Hall (LSD-50) Dec. 1, 2016 during Amphibious Ready Group Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise off the coast of Onslow Beach, North Carolina. These Marines were assigned the combat cargo billet as a part of ship taxes and come from a myriad of military occupational specialties native to the Marine units aboard Carter Hall. They play a key role in the on and offloading of vehicles and equipment on amphibious vessels, working long hours to accomplish their mission. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Matthew Callahan)
