Maj. Matt Greene, of Laramie, Wyo., left, stands next to his buddy Lucas Balloun, right, who came out, June 24, to support Greene and his Soldiers as they returned to Cheyenne, Wyo., from a tour in Afghanistan. Greene and the other Soldiers are from the Wyoming Army National Guard’s C Company, 5th Battalion, 159th General Support Aviation, a medical evacuation company, based in Cheyenne. The unit redeployed to Fort Sill, Okla., recently, where the Soldiers out-processed from active duty status. They returned to Cheyenne for a homecoming ceremony. The return signaled the end of C Company’s second of three rotations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
