Artillery rounds rigged with explosive were uncovered by Marines from B Company, 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5, during Operation Rubicon in Mushin, Iraq, west of Habbaniyah. Recon Marines waged running gunfights and unearthed hundreds of insurgent weapons in several days of operations. Many, like these artillery rounds, were primed to be used as roadside bombs.
