U.S. Army Capt. Mark McCool, from Hattiesburg, Miss., currently assigned as the information operation officer for the 17th Fires Brigade, sets up an American flag for a press conference at the Abu Al-Khaseeb scrap metal site in Basrah, Iraq, June 5. Nearly 10,000 tons of scrap metal are scheduled to be removed as part of a $1.6 million plan to clean up the city of Basrah.
