PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 20, 2016) – Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Jack Nehs, from Palm Bay, Fla., left, fires the shot line to the replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO 202) to begin a connected replenishment aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25). Somerset, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is conducting integrated training with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit off the coast of Southern California, in preparation for its maiden deployment.
