Approximately 10 Thousand Participate in Pearl Harbor 2016 Fisher House 8K

160910-N-IU636-957 PEARL HARBOR (Sept. 10, 2016) Volunteers assist in lining up over 7,000 pairs of boots after the 2016 Tripler Fisher House 8K Hero and Remembrance Run, Walk or Roll at Ford Island on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The event honored fallen service members since Sept. 11, 2001 and included boots, with attached photo identification, for each of the more than 7,000 fallen service members. The Tripler Fisher House is a “home away from home” that provides comfort for families of active duty and retired military receiving treatment at Tripler Army Medical Center on Oahu, where they stay until they are discharged or medically cleared. The house supplies free room and board, full kitchen, laundry and other support. (U.S. Navy Photo By Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Johans Chavarro/Released)
