Soldiers with the Louisiana National Guard's 1023rd Vertical Engineer Company, 528th Engineer Battalion, anchor and strap down tubing for the shoreline protection system, May 18, in the southwest pass of the Mississippi River delta near Venice, La. The 1023rd is constructing a more than seven-mile long barrier to prevent any possible oil from coming in to the wetlands.
