U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. Matthew Benack, Warrior Games Marine archer, aims in on a 15-yard target with his compound bow during practice at Fort Carson, Colo., April 28. "Archery is such a release for me," said Benack, "it gives many of us something positive to focus our thoughts and energy on, as well as building Esprit de Corps." A combination of 50 active duty and medically retired Marines from Wounded Warrior units throughout the Corps will compete against 150 service members from other military branches in a variety of Olympic-style skill competitions. The inaugural games are schedule to be held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 10-14.
