New York Army National Guard cavalry scouts with B Troop, 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry based in Jamestown, N.Y., conceal their Humvee behind the tree line at the Army’s Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, La., July 24, 2016. The cavalry scouts joined more than 3,000 Soldiers from New York and 2,000 Soldiers from other state Army National Guard units, active Army and Army Reserve troops as part of the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team task force. The Soldiers will hone their skills and practice integrating combat operations ranging from infantry troops engaging in close combat with the enemy to employing artillery and aviation, July 9-30, 2016.
