Cartwright is stationed at the Navy Operational Support Center, in St. Louis, Mo. and is preparing with a group of Sailors for ongoing contingency operations. Newkirk is a member of B Co., 404th Civil Affairs, which is from Fort Dix, N.J., and will deploy to Afghanistan. The 196th MPAD will produce "Balad and Beyond," a bi-weekly video newscast, and "Expeditionary Times," a weekly newspaper, while they are deployed in Iraq conducting a public affairs mission.
