U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Brad Owens, Director of Joint Staff for the South Carolina National Guard, recognizes Soldiers with the SCNG for their participation in Eager Lion 16 at a coining ceremony May 23 2016. Members of the SCNG worked in the Higher Control (HICON), which is the headquarters element that monitored situations and provided direction for the overall exercise. Eager Lion 16 is a bilateral, scenario-based exercise with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, designed to exchange military expertise and improve interoperability among partner nations.
