Chief Warrant Officer 5 Cliff Mead (right) of Copperas Cove, Texas, battalion maintenance officer and UH-60 Black Hawk pilot, 2nd Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, U.S. Division-Center, is promoted Jan. 31 by long-time friend Chief Warrant Officer 4 Patrick Rourke, battalion safety officer and AH-64D Apache attack helicopter pilot, 4th Battalion, 227th Avn. Regt., 1st ACB. This was Mead?s last promotion as his new rank is the pinnacle of the warrant officer corps.
