    380th Air Expeditionary Wing

    Staff Sgt. Grant Ciccone, a KC-10 Extender crew chief with the 380th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron deployed from the 605th AMXS of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., stands atop air stairs in between his work in preparing a KC-10 for a mission during operations on the flightline at a nin-disclosed base in Southwest Asia on Jan. 22. KC-10s at this deployed location, assigned to the 908th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron with some also deployed from Joint Base M-D-L, are one of Air Mobility Command's air refueling aircraft deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility that provides the "global reach" for Air Force and Department of Defense aircraft through air refueling operations for Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom and the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
