A member of the armed forces of the Philippines Naval Special Operations Group successfully administers an IV during a battlefield medical exercise. Members of Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines and AFP Navy SEALs joined together to hold a combat medic subject matter expert exchange. During the course, students learned how to properly treat a variety of combat-related injuries, such as applying a tourniquet to stop bleeding, ways to open a patient's airway, treatment for a collapsed lung and how to treat for shock.
