Soldiers celebrate poetic Martin Luther King Day through spoken words

Staff Sgt. Iraina Witherspoon, of 1472nd Civil Affairs Team, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, writes an impromptu poem during a poetry reading session in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Forward Operating Base Falcon Jan. 18. Witherspoon, of Brooklyn, N.Y., said King was a warrior for words as she referred to similarities of the orator and Soldiers who spoke at the session.
