These new bricks, made from 45 percent local clay and 55 percent cement, are being used by the municipal counsel of Al Chubayish, Iraq to construct a demonstration building. The bricks, which are sun-dried and can be manufactured at construction sites, promise to provide stronger, cheaper buildings for the local populace.
