Spte. Bachir, of the Djibouti national army, prepares to transport troops from Artafor the multi-national, Eastern Africa Standby Force Field Training Exercise Dec. 1, 2009. This is a United Nations-supported exercise for the countries representing the Eastern Africa region. Ten nations are participating in the exercise. The Eastern Africa Standby Brigade Coordination Mechanism is scheduled to run until Dec. 4, 2009.
