Sailors and Marines stationed aboard USS Wasp run in the ship's "Turkey Trot" on Wasp's flight deck Nov. 26, which was part of Wasp's Thanksgiving Day observances. For the Turkey Trot, crewmembers aboard Wasp could either run five or ten miles and enter a prize raffle drawing with the grand prize being an MP3 player. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 and embarked Security Cooperation Marine Air Ground Task Force. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
