Convoy security vehicles with the Mississippi Army National Guard's 1st Platoon, C Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, an armor unit from Oxford, Miss., stage in Contingency Operating Location Q-West's Convoy Readiness Center yard before a mission to Forward Operating Base Warrior, Oct. 28. The platoon overcame numerous setbacks during the mission, including a weapons malfunction, a possible improvised explosive device, a military vehicle break-down and a civilian tractor-trailer accident — all during intermittent thunderstorms.
