Alaska Governor Sean Parnell takes over the controls of a Coast Guard 47 foot motor lifeboat while Chief Petty Officer Ryan O'Meara, officer in charge of Station Juneau, explains the performance characteristics of the boat and the challenges of working in Alaska's maritime domain, Oct. 9, 2009. Parnell was given a brief about the Coast Guard in Alaska and the missions of Sector Juneau, his visit concluded with a ride through Juneau Harbor aboard motor lifeboat.
