James Reese, far right, both with Troop B, 3 rd Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment, unveil the new sign that will be posted at the Combat Outpost recognizing Sgt. 1st Class Jared Monti, as a Medal of Honor recipient, Sept. 17, in Kunar province. Wolfhanger and Reese worked closely with Monti when he was deployed with them in 2006. According to Capt. Albert Bryant, commander of Company C at COP Monti, two signs will be placed on the COP, one at the helicopter landing zone and the other at the main gate, so all guests to the COP will know that operations are being run from an area named after a Medal of Honor recipient.
