During the 1161st Trans. Co.'s patching ceremony, Lt. Col. Kristan Hericks, a native of Irvine, Calif., and battalion commander for the 419th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, places a 10th Sustainment Brigade combat insignia patch on the sleeve of 1st Sgt. David Luther, the first sergeant for the 1161st Trans. Co., and native of West Richland, Wash. Capt. Leslie Jines Jr., a Selah, Wash., native, and commander of the 1161st, and Command Sgt. Maj. Swanson, command sergeant major for the 419th, prepare to shake the 1st Sergeant's hand.
