Airmen Reign, Shine Over Weather Operations in Iraq

Air Force Tech. Sgt. Terry Hutton, weather system support cadre team lead assigned to the Combined Air and Space Operations Center in Southwest Asia, teaches Iraqi air force officers how to configure a laptop to receive weather data during on-the-job training, Aug. 16. The laptop is connected to a TMQ-53 tactical meteorological observation system, a device which enables them to obtain pressure, wind speed and direction, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, precipitation, surface visibility, cloud height and lightning detection. This system will enable the Iraqi airmen to provide current weather data to their leadership in support of their missions throughout Iraq. Sgt. Hutton is deployed from Hurlburt Field, Fla., and is a native of Enid, Okla.
