Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Thomas Sands, heavy-weather coxswain on the 47- foot motor-life boat at Coast Guard Station Southwest Harbor, seen assisting local emergency services with transporting a person injured in the rogue wave rescue, Sunday.
