Petty Officer 2nd Class Lucio Diaz, from San Antonio, Texas, runs on a treadmill aboard the Oliver Hazard Perry-class Frigate USS Thach. Sailors aboard Thach are encouraged to exercise on a regular basis to support the Navy's commitment to physical fitness and the ship's overall mission. Thach and the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group 7 are currently on a routine deployment in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility focusing on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
