Task Force 56 Commander Visits Camp Patriot

Capt. Vincent Martinez, commander Task Force 56, with Lt. William Ioven, of Malden, Mass., during his tour of the Boat Maintenance Facility on his visit to Camp Patriot, July 12. Martinez, a native of Syracuse, N.Y., is conducting a battlefield evaluation of all CTF 56 Task Groups currently operating in Kuwait, the port of Um Qasr, Iraq and ABOT. CTG 56.5 is a composite unit of Navy Sailors from Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Five, stationed in San Diego, Calif., and Coast Guardmen of Port Security Unit 301, stationed in Cape Cod, Mass., who are currently deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom.
