Lance Cpl. Nathan Goens, a heavy equipment operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 7, is shown first-hand by his former senior drill instructor, Staff Sgt. Nathan Schoemer, submission techniques in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. The two grappled June 27 after Schoemer challenged Goens' graduating platoon a year ago to grapple him once they made it to the Fleet Marine Force.
