Airman 1st Class Matthew Chroniak, 332nd Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron nondestructive-inspection apprentice, inspects an F-16 Fighting Falcon for defects on the metal surface here June 21. When the current is broken by a crack or defect on the surface, the tool he employs will pick up the damage and identify where it is on the aircraft. Chroniak, a Boston native, is deployed here from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.
