On their way back from training in Bulgaria, Marines from Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, load a Landing Craft, Utility outside Nea Anchialos Air Force Base, Greece, June 4. The LCU brought the leathernecks to USS Ponce, one of the ships in the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group. Other elements of the MEU went ashore in Greece for a 12-day training evolution. The 22nd MEU, deployed aboard the ships of the BAT ARG, is currently serving as the theater reserve force for U.S. European Command.
