Spc. Terrence Mahathey of Hutchinson, Kan., demonstrates how to properly administer an IV in field conditions during Close Quarter Combat training at Fort Hood, Texas, May 21. Mahathey currently serves as a medic assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 3rd Battalion, 157th Field Artillery, Colorado Army National Guard, 115th Fires Brigade. The Battalion is scheduled to deploy to Iraq this summer in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the largest Colorado Army National Guard deployment since World War II.
