Held in place by their seat belts and preparing to disengage themselves, Marines from the II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) react to a simulated vehicle roll over during their session inside a Humvee Egress Assistance Trainer aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 28. The HEAT is designed to teach deploying Marines and Sailors how to properly and safely escape a vehicle when there is a roll over caused by an accident or improvised explosive device attack.
