Lance Cpl. Adam B. Collins services the main rotor head of a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter Jan. 24 during a pre-flight inspection at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Yamaguchi, Japan. Four CH-53E helicopters stopped to refuel at MCAS Iwakuni on the way from Okinawa to Misawa Air Base, Japan, in support of Exercise Forest Light 15-2. Forest Light is a routine, semiannual exercise to strengthen U.S. and Japan military relations. Collins is a CH-53E crew chief from Syracuse, New York, assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465, Marine Aircraft Group 16, currently assigned to Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
