Bde., at the end of his weekly stress management class before the Soldiers transition out of Liberia to a controlled monitoring area, Jan. 8, 2015, at the National Police Training Academy, Paynesville, Liberia during Operation United Assistance. Ragan said he educated Soldiers on the importance of supporting each other, the battle buddy system, and approaches to recognize signs and symptoms of Soldiers who are struggling. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to USAID-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
