Soldiers of the Division Special Troops Battalion and 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division filed into the Fort Hood Community Center, to meet with community leaders, organizations and businesses from Fort Carson and the surrounding Colorado area during the Mountain Post Welcome, May 4-8. The information fair hosted at Club Hood served as an introduction for Soldiers and their families moving to the Colorado Springs community, and surrounding areas, providing several vendors, businesses and community representatives for the units preparing to transition from Fort Hood to the Mountain Post later this summer. The expose showcased dozens of community representatives, organizations and leaders, who traveled to Fort Hood to provide information on a number of community services from the Colorado Springs area, ranging from the Chamber of Commerce and local area businesses to military housing, childcare and Army Community Services on Fort Carson.
