Marines pose for a photograph Dec. 6 during the annual 10 Star Social at the Butler Officers’ Club. The name of the event is derived from the number of U.S. Marine generals in attendance. With the high operational tempo of III MEF, it can be difficult for senior officers and enlisted to gather together in a social setting. The event brought together these groups, strengthening the command element of III MEF by creating a more cohesive team. The guests, from left to right, are Master Sgt. Christian C. Rosario, a motor transportation chief with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force; Master Gunnery Sgt. Reynaldo C. Mendoza, a food service specialist with Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific; and Brig. Gen. Tracy W. King, commanding general of 3rd MLG, III MEF.
