Army Reserve Soldiers from the 416th Theater Engineer Command, headquartered in Darien, Ill., as well as service members from the U.S. Marines, Air Force and Navy around the greater Chicago area, participated in a Snowball Express farewell ceremony for Gold Star families and children at the Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Dec. 11. Snowball Express is a nonprofit organization sponsored by American Airlines that organizes an all-expenses-paid trip for children and spouses who have lost a fallen military hero to offer them support, activities, healing and positive memories during the December holiday season.
