Firefighters from El Salvador check their personal protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus during an orientation given by the 612th Air Base Squadron firefighters on Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Dec. 3, 2014. The 612th ABS firefighters facilitated El Salvador’s Autonomous Executive Port Commission airport firefighter qualification by providing live-fires. The Salvadoran airport firefighters have a requirement very similar to the United States standards that requires members of their airport fire departments to be qualified annually on their ability to control a live-fire.
