Cuomo toured the affected areas of Western New York struck by significant snowfall from lake effect snow in the past two days, resulting in historic snowfall amounts. Cuomo mobilized more than 240 National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from area units to assist local authorities with snow removal or traffic control with an additional hundred Soldiers arriving in the region to expand the National Guard presence.
