Marines with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, MCAS Futenma, Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan, commemorated the anniversary by marching for 239 minutes. “Every minute signified a year of the Marine Corps’ (existence),” said Master Sgt. Jason A. Annis. “Some of the Marines marching today have been in the Marine Corps longer than other Marines have been alive.” Fagan, an Alliance, Ohio, native, is an administrative specialist with the squadron.
